OCTOBER 1, 2025 UPDATE: Effective until further notice, we are temporarily no longer able to ship orders outside of the U.S.A. (Canadian exceptions, please contact me directly via email). Due to new regulations on food importing and tariffs in a growing number of countries, it has become too difficult and expensive to navigate the various new licensing and documentation requirements in each individual county. We are extremely sorry for this disappointing turn of events, and are thankful for the past support of our international tea friends. Hopefully, this situation will be remedied in the near future.

Tsuyuhikari Sencha - 2025 Shincha (New Harvest Tea). Naturally grown with no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. This naturally grown Sencha infuses to a golden-green color, has a light dashi aroma, and medium body. The flavor notes I pick up are forward with dashi-like umami (savory) and amami (sweet) notes of honeydew melon. It drinks very smooth with a light shibumi (astringent) finish. It has a really good balance of shibumi (astringency) and amami (sweetness). |
