Happy Summer!
It's been a long wait for this year's New Harvest Teas, but the majority are now in!
Shortages and price hikes brought about by the world-wide matcha boom have severely limited the availability of all Japanese teas. However, after tasting nearly 100 teas this summer, I have come up with a great new line-up of teas from appellations both familiar and unfamiliar. We still have lots of teas from Kyushu (Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, & Saga); as well as teas from Shizuoka (Fujieda, Honyama, & Kawane); Sayama (Saitama), Sashima (Ibaraki), Goka (Gifu), Tosa (Kochi), Nakaisamurai (Nagano); with more teas on the way from Murakami (Niigata).
